Consumer Confidence Reports |
 |
Aquionix creates cost effective Consumer Confidence Reports, which effectively convey required information to customers in a professional and understandable format. Consumer Confidence Reports must be provided to consumers annually by July 1st.
Public Notification of Violation
Public Water Systems are required to notify consumers of all violations. The specific requirements vary based on the risk to people who are drinking the water. Serious violations must be reported to consumers and CDPHE within 24 hours.
Aquionix can help wade through the reporting requirements to ensure consumers are protected and all compliance obligations are met.
Vulnerability Assessment and Emergency Action Plans
The Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002 requires all drinking water systems serving greater than 3,300 people prepare a vulnerability assessment and update their Emergency Response Plan accordingly.
Aquionix can assist in determining possible vulnerable components and identify security measures that should be considered in order to protect the system and the customers it serves. Based on this assessment, Aquionix can help develop and implement effective emergency action plans.
Certified Operators
Public water systems must designate someone who holds an appropriate State operator certification to be the “Operator in Responsible Charge” of their system. This individual is ultimately responsible for the quality of the system’s drinking water and must be either on-site or on-call at all times the system is operating.
Aquionix has personnel who are certified to supervise both the treatment and distribution components of public water systems. Not only does this service provide a cost effective alternative to maintaining a certified employee, but also ensures your Public Water System is being supervised by experts within the drinking water industry.
Treatment System Design
Whether it be simple chlorination, filtration or a complex treatment system, proper design and operation is critical to the safety of consumers. The chemical and environmental engineers at Aquionix have the resources necessary to design and help implement systems that will protect consumers, ensure compliance and limit liability.
New System Capacity Planning
Aquionix can help ensure your existing system is meeting capacity planning requirements as well as help plan and obtain approval for new public water systems. Our services include design of system components, coordination of construction approvals, and development and implementation of required documentation.
Monitoring Plans
Aquionix assists operators of public water systems in preparing a concise, compliant monitoring plan that includes:
Owner information;
A description of water sources;
A description of treatment and distribution systems; and
What, when and where you will monitor your drinking water.
All public water systems are currently required to develop and implement a monitoring plan. By April 10, 2006 all Public Water Systems within the State of Colorado will be required to submit Monitoring Plans to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
